My Raptor Inc. Visit Last Weekend

Raptor Inc, is a raptor ( think eagles, hawks, owls, etc ) rescue organization. They take in injured raptors, and rehabiltate them, euthanize if necessary, and release them back into the wild, if possible. Some of the raptors, stay with Raptor Inc. for life, making public appearances to educate people about raptors. Last weekend, I went to one of these appearances especially for photographers. I'd say I got TONS of shots...There are more on my website at: But I thought I'd share a few here...
This is a photo of a Great Horned Owl--King of the raptors!

A creative blue I managed of a Kestral, a small, beautiful, colorful raptor.

An interesting, and a little bit sad, story, about this raptor named Earl. Some people found Earl as a tiny baby, captured and took him home. Earl imprinted on humans therefore. The people found out the vultures do some disgusting things. One of the more disgusting things is pictured below. Then they wanted to get rid of Earl. So they turned him in to Raptor Inc. Earl must live there forever, because he has no idea how to take care of himself in the wild because he would not protect himself from humans like he'd need to do. The funny thing about this story is that the original people named Earl...and Raptor Inc found out...that Earl is actually........ a GIRL!
Yes, Earl vomits......YUCK!

This is the newest addition to the group of raptors that appear in public.
A Juvenile Red Shouldered Hawk
(no, the shoulders are not finished reddening up)

Hope you enjoy looking, and if you get a chance, go visit Raptor Inc at their brand new digs at 961 Barg Salt Run, Milford, OH
AND....you might consider sending Raptor Inc. a donation:

Several weeks ago, I visited the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH.
I'm still working photos from the many I took there. At the time, I wasn't sure I got anything worth keeping, because everything is so packed in there, that it was hard to isolate one thing to shoot.
However, here are two more of my shots from that trip that I hope you enjoy!
